Founded on 5 August 1599, the Marseille Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the oldest CCI in the world. Its modernity is rooted in this long history; the Chamber has directly engaged with the concerns of local enterprises for four centuries.
Marseille Provence CCI commissioned the Palais de la Bourse from the architect Pascal COSTE in 1849 and the building soon became the region’s economic parliament.
With its great hall and session room, the Palais de la Bourse provides a forum for industry and business.
A genuine think tank, it is where all the major decisions are taken concerning the economic development of businesses and the region.
In addition,it is one of the rare consular buildings with a Maritime and Economy Museum within its walls.
